Shai-Hsien’s Journal: Entry Three
I wrote a song today! Maybe one day I’ll get to sing the a united resistance and inspire many people! The accompanying violin music is still in my head. I never forget a good tune, so no need to write it down.
Anthem of Resistance, by Shai-Hsien
A country wrought by pain, brought to the brink of death.
A few noble souls still sane, hope resounds from each breath.
We won’t stand for suffering.
We won’t stand for silence and loss.
We won’t surrender, and no we won’t stop.
We will have what is ours, or glory in death.
Is it better to live on your knees or die on your feet?
Is it better to live in ignorance or to fight and bleed?
We are not afraid, we are right and we will prevail.
We, the oppressed, shall be your greatest enemy.
A man with nothing to lose and a world to gain is as strong as any soldier.
A man dejected and thrown away has nothing but to fight your tyranny.
We won’t stand for suffering.
We won’t stand for silence and loss.
We won’t surrender, and no we won’t stop.
We will have what is our, or glory in death.
So stand tall and sing with me, brave Humans, Kobolds, Kitsune and Kreen.
So stand tall and fight with me, brave warriors of freedom and peace.
So cower and hide, emperor of fear, our forces shall one day be upon you.
We are the resistance and this is our anthem.
We are the men and women with valorous ways.
We are coming for you to stop your evil reign.
We won’t stand for suffering.
We won’t stand for silence and loss.
We won’t surrender, and no we won’t stop.
We will have what is our, or glory in death.
We will fight on until our last breath.
We are heroes and will one day be legends.
We are immortal and you are just a corpse who doesn’t know he is dead.
Listen well, dear emperor, live each day fully, because it just may be your last.
