Mignon’s Journal – Entry Nine
Entry Nine: Spring – Year 847 of the 4th Age.
Sacrificing a pure soul. None of us are really comfortable with doing that, but we really lack other options. Few adults have pure souls, there isn’t time to find one. As much as we don’t like it we’re going to have to sacrifice a baby. Sacrificing one to save many. Still doesn’t feel right, but it’s a slightly better way to think of it than murder. I wonder which one of us will do the deed? Tulock seems like a solid candidate. I’m not going to do it. I’ll do many things to save my own hide, many terrible things. This is not one of them.
Still haven’t met Ms. Champion. Just need to survive until then. She’ll make everything right. At least if I die helping her I die on a good note. I die with my hero.
Not much else to say. Just sitting here with two guys who want to kill each other outside of an ancient lich’s castle. You know, every day things.
