Let it End
I,
I’m a new kind of a life.
I’m a twisted reality,
A shadow of the sun.
And this,
This illusion is twice as strong as you’ve ever seen.
And you were all fools for believing along,
‘Cause It was all a mirage.
Give it up, let it go.
There is a life to be had back where you once were.
Give me up, let me go.
There is nothing to gain seeking lives you could never lead.
Fairy tales were never meant to be.
I thought you,
You were someone different.
Something ancient.
A king amongst a court of fools.
But then I,
I was only dreaming. I could never really mean,
anything to you.
I’m just another fool.
In the lights of death, we’ll mutter words under our breath,
and collapse into sweet melodies.
As my crops were bled barren overhead,
I smiled quite pleasantly.
And this pauper said, humans they never cry for ants,
so you’ll all sing this gently.
“You were never my anything.
Just the curtains staring back at me.
And when we snap into reality,
We’ll remember nothing of this fatality.”
Sing it back to me.
“You were never my anything.”
