Moonbroken

November 20, 2014

And you don’t seem to understand,
What science is,
or how it effects the way I live.
I’m finding it hard to explain,
without something to explain.
Tell me what you stand to gain,
by lying.

I feel like a million dollars,
flushed right down the drain.
I’ve gone to the here and now,
and nothing has fucking changed.
I’m still dying.
I’m still insane.
You are still away.

Like a child, hide your eyes behind your hands.
Ignore my anxious gaze, ignore my angry glance.
’cause what you didn’t see, dear, might come back to hurt you.
“Next time you flee, dear, I might flee from you.”

Aren’t you sick of us living like an alliance of thieves?
Doesn’t this visibly thin lie of trust weaken your knees?
Aren’t you sick of us living the lives of cowards?
Don’t you ever think that its high time we break free?

But I can only guide you,
If you reach out and guide me.

And you don’t seem to understand,
What science is,
or how it effects the way I live.
I’m finding it hard to explain,
without something to explain.
What the hell did I ever plan to gain,
by trying?

I feel like a million dollars,
flushed right down the drain.
I’ve gone to the here and now,
and nothing has fucking changed.
I’m still dying.
I’m still insane.
You are still away.
